Finding project buyers in energy and infrastructure

Long cycles and multi-party decisions are normal. Here is how to stay early without drowning in noise.

Energy and infrastructure buying is project-shaped. Capex windows open and close. EPC firms, asset owners, and field contractors all influence the outcome. If your team only tracks “companies in energy,” you will always be late.

The better approach is to track projects and roles — then connect those to accounts you can actually serve.

Work the project timeline, not the logo list

  • Early: feasibility and design partners who shape specifications.
  • Mid: procurement and package owners who shortlist vendors.
  • Late: field and commissioning teams who need responsive supply.

Your offer may fit one stage better than others. Be explicit. A materials supplier should not chase the same conversation as a digital grid software vendor.

A weekly operating cadence

In infrastructure, patience without process becomes drift. Patience with a clear cadence becomes pipeline you can trust.
